Different languages reflect different worldviews. Accordingly, the limitation of translation, especially in cultural translation, raises the issue of the translatability. This book explores this issue through the comparison of two languages from the perspective of cultural translation by applying a composite and eclectic set of theories. In this attempt, the author stresses that the translation process is not merely a linear practice repeatedly but a mental activity that is global in nature while encompassing the fluctuating dimensions. This detailed analysis of the cultural aspects of translating the language pair of Chinese-Malay is clearly an academic piece of writing that will benefit both the general public and specialists in the field of translation in Malaysia.
